the Performance

The whole reason ballet exists and is practised today is so that the dancers can perform. Without the performance ballet would not be what it is today. To put on a performance takes much more than dancers. It takes choreographers, set designers and builders, lighting designers and operators, musicians, seamstresses and tailors, and many other people who almost never get the recognition they deserve. The entire story of the performance will be presented here, right from the planning through to the final curtain call.
